Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A superstar who crossed over completely from country music to pop culture, turning into a pop icon that will last forever and conquering every corner of the globe. Swift let go of the influences from her country music as if they were an additional layer of skin. She revealed that she was among the finest singers/songwriters from the generation she was born into. Swift could make the occasion personal, or use the moment to benefit. The skills she displayed were apparent on her early hits including the Neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album 2008's Fearless featured a singer-songwriter figuring out the person she really was, and, in doing so, gaining an audience of mass. Fearless was a huge success worldwide but not only in North America (where it earned six times platinum for the Top Ten Hits Love Story and "You Belong with Me") however, in Canada, Australia as well as the U.K. and other countries. Swift managed to build upon her progress through Speak Now almost two year after. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017), Swift's popularity grew and she found herself in a music scene where it was clear that she deserved to be. It was not long before she altered her plan in 2020's more streamlined siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
